Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 4-0 in last series in September and they secured their seat for ICC Women’s World Cup in England next year. The series is going to be very entertaining.
Captain Meg Lanning told to media on Tuesday, November 8, “It’s always nice to have a similar squad. We have had some really good performances in WNCL over the first few rounds. It’s nice to have batters and bowlers who are consistently performing well at state and international level. I’m really happy with the squad.”
Lanning said it very truly. They must be happy and proud. They have a great team.
Lanning has broken her own domestic record when she hit 190 runs against Tasmania in October.
She said in an interview, “I was so disappointed after Sri Lanka to not make any big scores. So I was keen to really go on with it and make any big score if I got the chance in the domestic season. I’m happy with where my game is at the moment and hopefully that translate into big scores against South Africa.”
